COMPOSITION
The Quelfire QWW CE Marked Intuwraps consist of a high performance graphite based intumescent material within a polythene cover which reacts under the influence of heat to exert pressure on the pipe as it softens to form a carbonaceous char which provides an effective insulation plug thus preventing smoke and fire passing through to the adjoining compartment. The QWW CE Marked Intuwraps have a self-adhesive tab which secures the wrap around the pipe.
APPLICATION / INSTALLATION
Quelfire QWW CE Marked Intuwrap should be placed around the plastic pipe and secured using the built in self-adhesive tab, with the lower edge of the Intuwrap level with the soffit of the floor. It is essential that there is no gap between the surrounding constructions. Any gaps should be grouted using the Quelfire QF2 Fire Protection Compound.
DURABILITY
Tested to Type X durability which means the QWW CE Marked Intuwraps can be installed in conditions exposed to weathering. Quelfire QWW CE Marked Intuwraps are expected to last the lifetime of the building.
