Quelfire Intumescent Tape
WR Intumescent Tape is a reactive graphite based intumescent material complete with a self-adhesive backing to aid with installation. It is available in two sizes: 60mm x 4mm (WR4/60/1) which is supplied as 1 metre lengths) and a 30mm x 2mm (WR2/30/50) which is supplied as a 50 metre roll. When subjected to heat/fire the intumescent material reacts producing a barrier of carbonaceous char within the gap.

Application / Installation
WR Intumescent Tape should be applied and installed in accordance with the available fire test evidence and consideration may need to be given to a permanent fixing method.
WR Intumescent Tape would normally be tested by OEM’s in particular scenarios, however it has been tested by Quelfire to the principles of BS 476 Part 20: 1987 between 2 concrete surfaces as follows:
