Pre-cut intumescent putty pads designed for easy application around single and double electrical socket installations. Tested in accordance with EN1366-3 to provide up to 2 hours fire protection.
Acoustic rated to BS EN ISO 140/3, Tested for air permeability to EN13141-1 Ventilation for buildings. Performance testing of components/products for residential ventilation.

The Intumescent Putty Pads fit most common light socket boxes or 13amp ring main sockets either internally or externally.

The Putty Pads provide a weighted Sound Reduction Index of up to 65dB and the Single Number Quantities were calculated in accordance with BS EN ISO 717-1:1997.
INSTALLATION
All surfaces must be clean, dry and free from any loose dust or contaminants. Do not apply to damp surfaces.
The Intumescent Putty Pads can be fitted internally or externally on the back of electrical boxes. Remove the lining paper from the pad. When using internally fold the pad to the shape of the box first then press firmly into the box working into the back corners.
When using externally, fold the pad around the back and sides of the socket when in situ. Press the edges of the pad together to form a continuous seal around the box. Ensure edges are brought firmly together to ensure complete coverage.
LIMITATIONS
Do not use in areas where a fire rating in excess of 2 hours is required.
Do not use in areas subject to prolonged high temperatures i.e. central heating pipes, ducting etc.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL
Intumescent Putty Pads should ideally be stored between +5ºC to 25ºC indoors, above ground level in dry well ventilated conditions.
Shelf life of Intumescent Putty Pads is 12 months from date of manufacture.
