HR-Prof is suitable for internal and external timber. It has non-flammable properties which restrict ignition and the spread of flame. The product is easy to apply, possessing high diffusion properties enabling it to quickly penetrate into the surface of the substrate.
HR-Prof is typically used on cladding, log cabins, garages, summer houses, staircases, bathrooms, saunas and pool enclosures. Critical engineering properties i.e. strength, durability, hygroscopicity and corrosivity are not compromised.
HR-Prof is renowned as a market leading flame retardant for timber having been applied to many prestigious projects including the Olympic Stadium.

HR-Prof has been tested on a wide range of timber softwood and hardwood substrates including Spruce, European Oak, Scotch Larch, Siberian Larch and Western Red Cedar.
Application / Data Sheet
HR Prof works on the basis of absorption, not on the number of coats, the absorption rate for HR Prof on most wood species is 300 gms per m2 (270 m/l) 3.7 m2 per litre, in the case of Western Red Cedar the absorption requirement is higher, 400 gms (360 m/l per m2) 2.75 m2 per litre.
